Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Prices at the gas pump are still soaring as the U.S. continues military operations in Iran. Triple-A reports the national average for a gallon of regular gas today is three-dollars-and-47-cents. That’s up two cents from yesterday and 48-cents from a week ago.
Oil has been driven up past 100 dollars a barrel as the conflict in Iran creates uncertainty in global markets. In a post on Truth Social yesterday, President Trump said “Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World Safety and Peace.”
