Marilyn June Steffee, 87, of Olney, passed away on February 18, 2026, at Helia Healthcare of Olney. Marilyn was born on June 25, 1938, in Clay City Illinois, the daughter of Ross and Hilda Travis. Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois with visitation for 1 hour prior to service.
Marilyn loved and enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband was a truckdriver and she went to driving school to get her CDL so she could go with him over the road. Before she drove a truck, she was a hostess for an upscale restaurant in Oklahoma City.
Marilyn is survived by her children Rodney (Joyce) Evans of Olney, Illinois, Roger (Jing) Evans of Atlanta, Georgia Holly Evans of Olney, Illinois and Tracy Miller of Calhoun, Illinois, grandchildren Gregory and Ashley Ely, Jodie Burdette, Ryan Hemrich (Fiancé Katie Diel) ,Nicholas (Erin) Evans, and Christine (Eric) Pool, great-grandchildren: Jackson, Maverick, Sawyer, Remi, Alexis, Adam Jr. Aubree, Isla, Lexa and Case and sister Janet Beavers of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry Steffee, son Robert Evans,
sisters Carolyn Waggoner and Glyford Travis, and brother Galen Travis.
