Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- It will be a little warmer today, but the temperatures will dip below zero again tonight.
Dry but cold weather will continue across the region into this weekend. Northwest winds will be brisk and gusty today, adding an extra bite to the air. An extended period of very cold air with morning wind chills below zero will be in place through the weekend.
Effingham received 8-10 inches of snow from this round of winter weather, according to the National Weather Service.
Road conditions continue to gradually improve, but most roads are still at least partially snow covered. Please use caution if you have to go out on the slick roads, as refreezing overnight could produce black ice.
