Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- After a brief stretch of mild weather, the hammer drops Friday morning. Brisk winds and potentially life-threatening cold will grip the region this weekend. We won’t be breaking records, but a sharp north wind will push wind chill values down to 15 to 25 degrees below zero.
Last night’s forecast models trended a littler further north with Saturday’s storm track (see picture above). The net effect is higher probabilities of accumulating snow across central Illinois. Be sure to check for updates. This storm still has a lot of unresolved details, and forecast uncertainty remains medium/high.
We will keep you updated as we approach Saturday.
