Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)-Â The Effingham City Plan Commission has tabled a proposed definition for agriculture and agricultural use in city zoning ordinances, following concerns from residents Jean Anne and Paul Highland. Their main worry centered on the potential impact such definitions could have on city properties. The Commission plans to revisit the issue in a future session.
In other action, the group expanded the definition of community residence to include recovery homes and individuals in recovery. Additionally, the Commission recommended reapproval of a plat for Golden Fields Subdivision’s third addition. Discussion continues regarding the 2050 Comprehensive Plan, with key meetings set for early next year.
