Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- A federal judge is blocking the Trump administration from freezing around ten-billion-dollars in child care and social services funding.
The temporary order issued Friday directs the administration to release the funds to five Democratic-led states. This happened after those states filed a lawsuit against the administration over the funding freeze.
Friday’s order instructs the administration to disperse the funds for two weeks while the legal challenge continues. The states in question include Minnesota, California, New York, Illinois and Colorado.
