Teutopolis, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A dump truck was struck by a train at a private railroad crossing on State Highway 33 near Teutopolis in Effingham County on Friday. The driver, 58 year old Mechelle R. Eaton from Mattoon, was transported to HSHS St Anthony Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
No train cars derailed. The crossing had no arms or lights, as it was a private crossing. No citations were issued.
