Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Illinois is getting new guidelines for vaccine access. Governor JB Pritzker signed a bill yesterday that implements a state vaccine process that rules out total dependency on federal health officials.
The new law follows months of changing federal vaccine policies and increasing backlash from Democratic states, who claim current federal guidelines are less supportive of vaccination than previous presidential administrations. The measure also expands pharmacy access to COVID-19 and other shots for young children statewide.
