Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Heavy snow will continue late this afternoon into this evening. Much of central IL will also see at least a brief mix with or change to rain this evening.
Thundersnow is possible from I-55 southeast to I-70 until 6 pm. Another period of snow will likely develop during Monday afternoon and continue Monday night with a few inches possible with lighter winds. Cold temperatures will prevail through Friday with highs in the 20s to lower 30s. Lows in the low to mid 20s tonight, and teens from Monday night through Wednesday night, with single digits for lows north of I-72 Wed night.
