Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Due to the forecasted winter storm and out of concern for the safety of participants, vendors, and community members, the Effingham County Chamber has postponed this Saturday’s Hometown Christmas celebration. The event has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 6, with all times and event details remaining the same.
“We know how much our community looks forward to Hometown Christmas each year,” said Katie Koester, Chamber President & CEO. “While this was a difficult decision, the safety of our participants and attendees must come first. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility as we shift to a new date.”
All registered parade participants and activity partners have been notified of the schedule change. The Chamber looks forward to welcoming the community next Saturday for an evening of holiday lights, family fun, and festive traditions.
