Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham Tax & Finance Committee met on Thursday and approved numerous items to be brought to the full County Board.
The Committee went over the FY26 budget, sending it to the full board for approval. They also increased funding for the 708 Board by $20k by using funds from the Corporate fund. The 708 Board reported they do not have enough funds to meet the demand, and this extra funding will help fill the gap.
The Committee also:
- Approved FY26 Salary Schedule for the full board to consider (Sheriff’s Office union employees not included)
- Approved FY26 Liability Coverage to the full board
- F & C Concrete Invoice approved
- Wright’s Invoice for County Building Updates approved
- Dive Rescue Vehicle Upgrade approved
All of these will be on the agenda for the full County Board to consider on Monday.
