South Central FFA Attend Land Use Selection Event

Jefferson County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- On October 8, 2025, the South Central FFA Chapter went to the land use selections event. These young men traveled to Jefferson County to participate in the Section 19 Land Use Career Development Event.

Participants analyze and evaluate soil pits during a Land-Use Career Development Event. The event components are associated with landscape characteristics, soil profile characteristics, soil structure, and evaluation of nonagricultural use.

The team placed 6th overall.
