Northern Lights Likely To Be Visible Again Tonight

Effingham, IL-(I-70 Media, Inc.)- The Northern Lights were visible in the area last night, and they are likely to be visible tonight as well.

The Northern Lights are visible over several states at this time.  NOAA has issued a severe geomagnetic storm alert as it reports at least 21 states could see the aurora borealis.

The Northern Lights occur when the sun’s plasma interacts with the Earth’s magnetic field.
