Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Ann Crooker St. Clair Chapter, NSDAR receives proclamation stating November 1st as National Family Literacy Day.

Though National Family Literacy Day is November 1st, the month of November is designated National Family Literacy Month as launched by the National Center for Families Learning. It highlights the importance of families reading and learning together- recognizing that literacy grows stronger when it’s nurtured at home, across generations.

Ann Crooker St. Clair DAR Chapter, NSDAR promotes reading and learning as a family. They collect and donate books, promote family reading time, and work to raise awareness of family support in learning.
