Louisville, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The North Clay Board of Education convened to discuss strategic objectives in curriculum, administration, student safety, transportation, buildings, and the student handbook.
Superintendent Keith Price detailed the FY26 budget, highlighting a modest increase in state funding by just $31,533, bringing the total to $3.493 million, while local revenue is expected to increase by nearly five percent. The district faces higher health insurance premiums, salary increases, and larger building insurance costs following recent construction projects. Discussion also covered the new e-learning plan, allowing remote instruction during emergency days, with full details available on the district website. Board members approved the FY26 budget, updated e-learning procedure, and policy revisions unanimously.
Recent student honors, FFA events, and successful fundraisers were also acknowledged during the meeting.
