Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Thomas Devore’s law license has been suspended by the Illinois Supreme Court.
The Illinois Supreme Court has ordered a 60-day suspension of Tom DeVore’s law license, following ethics violations linked to his relationship with a client who later became his girlfriend and business partner.
DeVore, a former GOP attorney general nominee, rose to prominence during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic for representing Republican lawmaker Darren Bailey in a high-profile lawsuit against Governor JB Pritzker’s stay-at-home orders. The disciplinary panel’s findings outline multiple instances of inappropriate conduct involving DeVore and the former client, leading to his license suspension.
