Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Deanna Higgs, Ann Crooker St. Clair Chapter, NSDAR Registrar received the ILSSAR Medal of Appreciation at the recent Illinois Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (ILSSAR) Board of Managers dinner.
Deanna received the Medal of Appreciation and Certificate this spring from the Ewington Chapter, ILSSAR in appreciation of the research assistance she has given them. The most recent award, presented by ILSSAR President Bill Wheeler, was a certificate and the Oak Leaf Cluster pin which is added to the medal she was previously awarded. This meeting was attended by ILSSAR officers and members, their spouses, and some of Deanna’s DAR peers. The program was presented by Donnie Dorn who was presented with the ILSSAR Silver Outstanding Citizen Medal and Certificate for his presentations to SAR, DAR, and the work he continues to do with fellow veterans.
