Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- We have a chance for severe weather every day this week.
Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop by early afternoon today, working their way eastward. A few of these storms will be capable of producing brief damaging winds, and a level 1 severe weather risk is in place for much of central Illinois. If you have outdoor plans today, make sure you keep an eye on the weather.
Scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast through the end of the week, most commonly during the afternoon hours. However, rain chances will be fairly low (20-30%) on Wednesday and Thursday. High temperatures will generally be in the mid to upper 80s, though many areas will be near 90 degrees on Friday.
