CCSO: Stolen Camper Recovered, Warrant Issued For Suspect

On November 18, 2024 the Clay County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a theft of a camper in Clay City Township. The victim advised that recently, unknown person(s) had stolen their 17 foot Summerland Camper.

During the course of the investigation the camper was recovered in Omaha Nebraska on January 22, 2025. The sheriff’s office worked in conjunction with the Omaha Police Department and the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation to identify a suspect that is believed to be involved in the theft of the camper.

As a result of this investigation Clay County State’s Attorney Phillip Givens requested a warrant for the arrest of the individual. This warrant remains outstanding and the sheriff’s office continues to coordinate with law enforcement agencies to resolve this case.

The charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
