Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- With so much uncertainty surrounding the Department of Education right now, questions are mounting about what the Education Department does, and what impact could be seen locally if the department goes away. Education for our kids is extremely important, and continued funding from the Department of Education has helped local school districts maintain their programs through financial means.
Superintendent Andy Johnson gave more information on how the Education Department helps Effingham School District, and cleared up some misconceptions.
A big thank you to Mr. Johnson for answering some commonly asked questions about what the Education Department does (and doesn’t do) for local school districts. With so much uncertainty at this moment, the relationship that schools have with their local communities will become even more important in our kids’ education.
