Wintry Mix Expected Today, Winter Weather Advisory In Effect Until 3AM Thursday

Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Precipitation today will be in the form of a wintry mix, and the timing is likely to be from 9am to around 6pm. Moderate to occasionally heavy precipitation will occur this afternoon.

We aren’t expecting much snow in this area, but a zone of mixed precipitation will be most likely just north of the I-70 corridor, though light ice amounts can extend as far north as I-72.

Unsettled weather will continue through the weekend with a couple chances for precipitation and colder temperatures.
