Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Scott’s Law, AKA the Move Over Law, is designed to help keep emergency personnel and police officers safe as they make stops on the road, or are trying to get to a person in an emergency situation. It not only helps with safety, but also lets emergency personnel do their job without having to worry about motorists getting in the way, making a situation more dangerous.
Sheriff Kuhns stopped by the studio to give more details on the law, and all the instances it applies.
