On October 29, 2023 at 7:04 p.m. the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to Hwy 50 near Big Four Rd for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving two pedestrians. Upon the arrival of the deputies, it was determined that both pedestrians were deceased. The sheriff’s office contacted the Illinois State Police to investigate the incident.
Any further information pertaining to this incident will be provided by the Illinois State Police or the Clay County Coroner’s Office.
