Vandalia, IL-(Vandalia Radio)- The Vandalia Police Department has some advice on keeping your packages from getting stolen.
The Vandalia PD says they received two reports of packages being stolen from porches in the past week and they want to help keep deliveries safe.
Some of their tips include:
- Schedule deliveries when you are at home or do in-store pickups.
- Use package tracking to know exactly when you delivery will arrive.
- Ask a trustworthy neighbor to keep an eye out for your packages.
- Install security cameras or video doorbells to deter thieves.
- Consider theft deterrents like secure lockboxes.
