
Springfield, IL-(Vandalia Radio)- The state minimum wage is increasing January 1st.
Starting on Sunday, the minimum wage in Illinois will be $13 an hour. This is the fifth increase since a law was passed in 2019, bringing the minimum wage to $15 an hour by 2025.
State Department of Labor Director Jane Flanagan:
Workers under 18 who work less than 650 hours a year will earn a minimum wage of $10.50 an hour.
