Cumberland With Come From Behind Victory Over Martinsville 46-45

Cumberland trailed for most of the game but did just enough in the end to get the win against Martinsville 46-45.

Cumberland scored first and led 5-4, however Martinsville would take the lead 6-5 and lead until less than a minute left in the game when Cumberland would take the lead 44-43. Cumberland would get another shot to fall but Martinsville got another basket. After Cumberland missed a free throw Martinsville would have a shot at the win with 7.6 seconds left. Martinsville would bring the ball up and Alex Lowry, who led Martinsville with 21 points, took a fadeaway shot from the left side. Lowry would miss the shot but Martinsville player Kaiden Simon got the rebound under the basket and put the ball up but unfortunately it went up thru the bottom of the hoop and Cumberland would get the win.

Cumberland is now 4-6 on the season and will be in action next Monday at the Vandalia Holiday Tournament. Cumberland will be taking on Flora at 3:30 on WCRA.
