Accident On Northbound I-57 Has Both Lanes Blocked, Traffic Being Re-Routed To Routes 37 & 45

Effingham County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- An accident involving multiple semis is being reported on northbound I-57 between Edgewood and Effingham that is blocking both northbound lanes.

Motorists are asked to avoid the scene by taking the Edgewood interchange to avoid the accident and re-enter the interstate when you reach Effingham. Traffic on I-70 has not been affected by this accident.
