First Case Of Omicron Variant Detected In U.S.

Washington, DC-(Effingham Radio)- The first confirmed U.S. case of the Omicron [[ahm-ih-crohn ]] coronavirus variant has been confirmed.

Dr. Anthony Fauci [[ FOW-chee ]] says the case is from a person who traveled from South Africa to California. Fauci says the person was vaccinated and is in quarantine.

President Biden called the variant “a cause for concern, not a cause for panic.”
