Centralia, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Gaetti Sports Academy and Castle Ridge in Centralia, Illinois teamed up with Santa and his elves to help spread some Christmas cheer during the most wonderful time of the year.
Castle Ridge wrote a letter to Santa offering to lend a hand by becoming a North Pole Affiliate. In the letter to Santa, they communicated how wonderful the community of Centralia is and how excited they are to spread some holiday cheer. Castle Ridge explained how they wanted to do their part as new members of the community to help get the children’s wish lists in the mail to him by offering up a Letters to Santa Mailbox and free magic reindeer food for children. To Castle Ridge’s delight Santa responded with a letter stating that he and the elves “loved the idea” and they were approved to be an affiliate! After letters were dropped off the team at Castle Ridge drew 5 lucky winners to receive cookies delivered to their doorstop from Santa and his Elves.
Winners were drawn and the deliveries were made to five families on Saturday the 19th. Four of the families were from Centralia and one of the families was from Mt. Vernon.
“The looks on the children’s faces when they saw Santa and his elves was priceless. Spreading a little joy during the holiday season was our goal and we saw their faces we felt like we were able to achieve that. We really look forward to doing more of this type of thing when our doors are open at Castle Ridge. Spreading magic and helping create memories is one of the things that makes what we do worthwhile and fun.” said Melissa Roach with Castle Ridge. “Children can still drop letters off this week and pick up free magic reindeer food while supplies last” she added.
Gaetti Sports Academy at Castle Ridge is part of a multiphase destination development being built in Centralia. The first phase, the 18,000 square feet Gaetti Sports Academy opened in June. The second phase, currently being completed, is the 32,000 square feet Castle with 3 restaurants and The Grand Hall and Conference Center. Next up on the horizon for the Meadow Woods development are multiple outdoor ceremony areas, a marina and lakefront cottages and lodges.
