Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Baseball slugger Yasiel Puig says he has tested positive for COVID-19. He said in a Twitter statement that he is asymptomatic and was shocked that he tested positive.
The Athletic reports Puig was about to sign a free agent deal with the Atlanta Braves, but the test result scuttled that. Puig says he looks forward to playing again, which won’t happen until he comes up negative on two consecutive tests. He says he feels fine and urges everyone to take the pandemic seriously.
