Atlanta, GA -(Effingham Radio)- The CDC is saying a recent parasite outbreak in the Midwest has been traced to bagged salad packages.
The agency said 122 people have been infected with Cyclospora in seven states including Illinois, Iowa, Kansas and Missouri. The pre-mixed salads were found at stores like ALDI, Hy-Vee and Jewel-Osco.
Cyclospora infects the intestine and the recent outbreak has sent 19 people to the hospital.
