Champaign County Treasurer Charged With Labor Law Violation

Champaign, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Champaign County Treasurer Marisol Hughes is being charged with a labor law violation.

The union representing 465 county employees filed a complaint against her yesterday for unfair labor practices. Union officials say Hughes is not carrying out her legal obligations toward the union and that she unfairly fired an employee in May.

County Board Chairman Giraldo Rosales, who appointed Hughes, is also named in the complaint.
