Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- A trial involving hydroxychloroquine [[ HIGH-drox-ee-klor-eh-quin ]] is being suspended by the World Health Organization.
In making the announcement, WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus [[ TED-rohs AD-ih-nom GEH-bree-ay-suhs ]] referenced a report in the British journal The Lancet. It said the treatment pushed by some including President Trump could lead to a higher death rate.
Trump himself took hydroxychloroquine, but told Sinclair Broadcasting yesterday he’s finished with taking it.
