Altamont, IL-(Effingham Radio)- After 30+ years, Schultz’s Dairy Bar and Pizza will be closing.
The news was announced on Wednesday evening in a post on Schultz’s Dairy Bar’s Facebook Page.
The post stated, “After 30+ years, the Schultz family will no longer be operating Schultz’s Dairy Bar and Pizza. It’s been a long, great ride that we have thoroughly enjoyed, but as time goes on, God brings us down different paths and life changes. All of our other family businesses are demanding more and more of our time, and we feel this is the right time to move on. Alvin and Deb Schultz will continue to operate Deb’s Catering & Vending and Kevin and Carrie Schultz will continue to operate Pinky’s. As long as things run smoothly with the City of Altamont, we have plans to lease the building to a new restaurant in the very near future. We would like to sincerely thank all of you, our valued customers, for your patronage over the years. We will definitely miss The Dairy Bar, but change is a good thing! This Sunday, August 25, will be our last day open. So, come and see us one more time before then!“
