Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- A new bill is moving through the Statehouse that would require all employers to give every employee a week of paid sick days.
The Healthy Workplace Act is designed to help part-time and low-wage earning employees.
The bill’s sponsor says people are often forced to choose between working or losing pay to take care of family or attend to health care matters.
