TOLEDO, IL-(Effingham Radio)- A Greenup woman was killed in an accident that occurred east of Toldeo on Monday evening.
According to a press release from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred on Route 121, approximately one mile east of Toledo, at 7:27pm.
The press release states that a vehicle driven by 44 year old, Julie A Croy, of Greenup was traveling eastbound on Route 121, when her vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a field entrance, and became airborne.
The vehicle then landed front-end first in the ditch and skidded to a stop.
Croy was taken to Carle Foundation Hospital by ambulance, where she was pronounced deceased.
