Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Vinegar sold on Amazon is being recalled due to a risk of deadly poisoning. Joly’s 80-percent vinegar was sold through Amazon between May and November.
The product comes in a white-capped transparent bottle featuring an orange and red label with white lettering with the Joly’s brand name. The Consumer Product Safety Commission warns the product violates precautionary labeling requirements. The CPSC notice states there is a deadly risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed and a risk of serious injury such as chemical burns to the skin and eyes if the vinegar isn’t handled properly.
