Effingham County, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Traffic was halted on I-57 southbound near milepost 151 in Effingham County Thursday evening after a crash involving two tractor-trailers.
Illinois State Police Troop 9 responded to the scene around 5:23 p.m. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities closed the southbound lanes for safety as crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause. The interstate was reopened at approximately 8:02 p.m., more than two and a half hours later.
At this time, no further details on the crash have been released.
