Suspect In Custody In Officer-Involved Shooting Case In Peoria

Peoria, IL-(Effingham Radio)-  Illinois State Police (ISP) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) Zone 4 obtained an arrest warrant for Carlos D. Jones, a 43-year-old of Peoria, IL.

During the evening hours of Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022, Peoria Police Department observed Jones exit a residence in the 700 block of South Warren Street and get into the passenger side of a pickup truck.  Peoria Police attempted to make a traffic stop and Jones fled on foot.  After a brief foot-chase, Jones was taken into custody.  Jones was transported to the Peoria County Jail.
