
Effingham, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Health Department sadly announces the COVID-related death of an individual in their 90s, the individual was vaccinated. This death brings the number of confirmed COVID related deaths in this county to one hundred and one (101).
The Department also received reports of fifty-seven new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19); when added to the numbers released on Monday, it brings our seven-day total to seventy-eight (78).

Illinois Region 6 rolling test positivity was 3.7% through November 2, with Effingham County at 5% for the same period. This week our region saw an increase in hospitalized COVID patients and ICU bed availability dropped to 19%.
