Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- An Illinois state Senator is moving to make Daylight Saving Time permanent.
Senator Andy Manar introduced a bill yesterday to make Daylight Saving time the year-round standard time for the whole state beginning the second Sunday of March 2020.
Manar says the bill was inspired by the lobbying efforts of a central Illinois high school civics class.
President Trump has expressed support of the idea on a national level.
