MARSHALL, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Marshall Public Library will be celebrating their grand re-opening with a Smithsonian exhibit featuring Crossroads: Change in Rural America and a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, March 25th at noon.
The re-opening will celebrate a 4-month long renovation that included a new, more handicap accessible entrance, a modernized teen area, updated computer stations, improved work flow for the staff, and much more.
Immediately following the ribbon – cutting ceremony will be a room dedication to honor former Marshall native, Handy Writer Colony member and published author Edwin “Sonny” Daly.
Daly bequest the library $100,000 in 2017 which helped make the renovations possible.
