EFFINGHAM, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Effingham County ‘s forward-thinking Vision 2020 group has had a significant influence on Effingham County for almost fifteen years. As the year 2020 approaches, a community group has convened to continue the original work of Vision 2020, but to look now toward 2030, going by the name Impact 2030 Growing Forward Together. Creative Learning Culture is one of the impact area teams under Impact 2030. The team hosted another lunch and learn on January 17 at the Effingham Public Library to bring together all those in Effingham County who provide lifelong learning experiences to others, who cultivate creativity, inspire innovation and are passionate about personal growth, to share their organization’s mission and to network.
At this lunch and learn, the following organizations were featured:
-
Lake Land College Kluthe Center with Olivia Mintun
-
STAR (Strategic Training and Restoration) with Katrina Smith
-
Effingham County Connections with Samantha Weidner
-
Effingham Area Software Development Group with Ryan Condron and Joey Meyer
-
Tri-Music with Stacey Rhodes, and
-
Effingham County Chamber of Commerce’s Sponsorship of Pacific Institute’s “Thought Patterns for High Performance” with Sharon Robb
We are thrilled to have organizations wanting to present at the next lunch and learn and look forward to expanding our reach. Participant feedback has been very complimentary with participants identifying some of the biggest positives of the events as “the diverse speakers create additional opportunities for collaboration.” Another participant commented that “it broadened my knowledge on some terrific programs available in our community.” One mentioned appreciation for “understanding the hearts of the presenters who are passionate about our community.” One expressed gratitude for Impact 2030 having “a broader vision of Effingham County.”
