Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The federal government is sending nearly 14 million-dollars to Illinois to replace old lead pipes.
The money will be sent to communities that have well-known lead problems.
Galesburg is in-line for three-and-a-half million-dollars to replace lead pipes in some of the city’s older homes.
Chicago is set to get just over four million-dollars, Moline should get just under two-and-a-half million, and Kankakee will get just over three-and-a-half million dollars.
