EFFINGHAM, IL-(Effingham Radio)- The Effingham County Chamber of Commerce recognized Land of Lincoln Credit Union as the Chamber’s December Member of the Month.
For over 70 years, Land of Lincoln Credit Union has been in existence in central Illinois and is headquartered in Decatur.
As a non-profit financial cooperative that is member-owned, the credit union’s mission is to provide education and services for financial success with a people helping people philosophy.
In the early 1990s, LLCU opened a banking facility in Effingham and in 2004, constructed a new facility on the south end of Effingham.
There are 12 branch locations spread throughout their 26-county service area.
The Effingham area employees are very involved in the community and have volunteered a minimum of 12-20 hours per person each year for organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters, Project Linus, Salvation Army and others.
Their employees are actively engaged in various church activities as well.
Since 1994, LLCU has been an active Chamber member and provides volunteer support and participation in many Chamber programs as well as sponsoring a variety of Chamber events.
