Springfield, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is asking hunters to help them track a deadly deer disease.
The state wants hunters to report any sick, dying, or dead deer that they think may have come down with EHD.
There are over 400 suspected cases of EHD in Illinois, most of them are in counties along the Illinois River.
DNR says thousands of hunters will be out in the field this weekend for the first shotgun season.
They are asking hunters to report back what they see.
