WHEELER, IL-(Effingham Radio)- Three people were injured in an accident that occurred west of Wheeler on Wednesday evening.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred on IL Hwy 33, one-half mile west of 200th Street at 6:22pm.
The report states that a vehicle driven by 29 year old, Ivan K Falconer, of Dieterich was traveling westbound on Hwy 33, when he veered into the eastbound land.
At that time, a vehicle driven by 28 year old, Zachary P Raney, of Newton was traveling in the eastbound lane and was struck by the the Falconer vehicle.
Traveling behind the Raney vehicle was a vehicle driven by 24 year old, Mariah L Boldrey, of Sainte Marie.
The Boldrey vehicle was forced to take evasive action and drove into the ditch on the south side.
The Falconer vehicle came to a rest in the roadway, while the Raney and Boldrey vehicles came to a rest in the south side ditch.
Falconer, Raney, and Boldrey were all taken to HSHS St Anthony’s Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Falconer was cited for improper lane usage, reckless driving, reckless conduct, aggravated battery, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and no insurance.
