Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- Vistage, the world’s leading CEO peer-advisory organization, recently announced that Troy Jansen was a nominee of the Impact Award. The Vistage Impact Award recognizes remarkable development and achievements in members with between one and three years’ tenure at Vistage. These members have become invaluable assets to their group, opening themselves to feedback and reaching significant turning points. For more information on Vistage, visit www.vistage.com.
Troy Jansen, a nominee for Impact, is General Manager (GM) of Jansen’s Heating and Air Conditioning. As a result of Troy’s promotion to GM in 2016, succeeding father Tom Jansen in the day-to-day leadership of the company, Doctor Comfort Club membership has seen dramatic growth. At the same time the family legacy and company’s strong reputation for quality service continues to shine.
While showing a lighter side with humor in advertisements, the company and its employees have also grown in their participation and active support of many community events and charities. The company can be seen actively raising money and awareness for Blessings in a Backpack and proud in pink for breast cancer awareness with donations going to HSHS St. Anthony’s Women’s Wellness Center. Troy Jansen immerses himself in company causes—he can even be found in elf tights to help promote their yearly Socks for Seniors drive around Christmas. In addition to the holiday messages, “Jansen’s Message of Comfort”, made meaningful local impact, tempering some of the negativity and divisiveness of national headlines. Troy’s public emphasis of family and community values is consistent in private where he encourages, challenges and supports fellow business leaders, owners and CEOs in his peer advisory group.
“Becoming General Manager of Jansen’s Heating & Air has been an incredible experience. Each day is an opportunity to learn and grow as a leader and to help someone. I love working for Jansen’s and each one of our team members and customers. Vistage has helped me develop as a leader both professionally and personally. My peers and our chair are a vital source of keeping me accountable to our team and our customers. It is an extreme honor to have been nominated for this award.” – Troy Jansen, GM Jansen’s Heating & Air
“It has been a joy to work with Troy and the entire Jansen family and team,” says Vistage Chair Dan Woods. “Tom was a founding member of the Effingham Vistage Chief Executive Group. He had a vision to pass the leadership to Troy. Troy was hungry to grow and he has not only worked hard on the succession and transition, he truly is focused on becoming a better leader for his family, company and community. It shows in all of the above and is greatly valued by the leaders in his Vistage Group.” – Dan Woods, Chair Vistage
Troy, son of Tom and Cindy Jansen, started his career at Jansen’s Heating in 2006. His position in the company began with the installation of heating and air systems. Growing more interest in the company, he transferred to a sales position and grew his knowledge to become Jansen’s General Manager in 2016. With the help of faith, family, friends, and the Jansen’s team, he continues to strive for greatness in everything he aspires to do. Troy resides in Jasper County with his wife, Micah and daughter, Mila.
Jansen’s Heating & Air is a family owned and operated business serving the local Effingham, Pana, and surrounding areas.
Tom and Cindy Jansen had a dream of starting their own business and on April 6, 1987, Jansen’s Heating & Air was born. With a card table, push button phone, and one van, Tom and Cindy went to work and have grown to support 20+ families. Jansen’s team provides expert heating and air service and installations; they continue to pride themselves on their guarantees and 24 hr. service with a smile. With help from Troy and the entire Jansen’s team, Tom and Cindy look forward to a future of growth, continuing to provide superior home comfort, and being a thriving part of local communities. The company is honored by Troy’s dedication and accomplishments, which led to his nomination for the Vistage Impact Award.
