High School Girls Tennis
- Area teams represent well at state over the weekend. St. Anthony finished in 8th Place as a team with 12 points. Emilee Mossman went 3-0 on the day on Thursday but she lost both of her matches on Saturday her first loss was in the quarter finals 6-3 6-0 to Claudia Miller of Winnetka (North Shore Country Day) and the second came in the consolation quarterfinals 8-1 to Mia Bertino of Joliet (Catholic Academy)
Allison Kowalke and Averee Greene competed in doubles going 2-1 in their matches on Thursday. They won their first two matches in the consolation bracket on Saturday winning 7-5 6-2 over Mollie Morrisey & Josi Schmedeke of Rochester and 8-3 over Grace Horky & Maggie O’ Brien of Lemont. Lost in the consolation quarter finals 8-2 against Olivia Hamm & Ellie Howland of West Chicago (Wheaton Academy).
Teutopolis finished tied for 14th Place as a team. Diana Mossman finished tied for 17-24th place. She went 2-1 on Thursday and split two matches on Saturday winning in the consolation bracket 6-1 6-4 over Claudia Bilkey of Vernon Hills and losing her other match 8-5 to Madelyn Jurasek of Maple Park (Kaneland). Mossman finished in the highest place for girls singles in school history.
Alli Brumleve & Macy Probst competed in doubles finishing in a tie for 9-12th Place going 2-1 on Thursday and doing the same on Saturday. Winning two matches 6-1 7-6 (3) over Sydnee O’Donnell & Grace Couri of Peoria (Notre Dame) and 8-4 over Maddy Jacobs & Sydney Schott of Sterling (Newman Central Catholic). And losing in the consolation quarterfinals 8-2 against Emily Sun & Isabella Kellemeier of Chicago (University). Brumleve/ Probst finished in the highest place for girls doubles in school history.
High School Cross Country
- Teutopolis girls won the Class 1A Robinson Regional The Wooden Shoes scored 49 points. Neoga, St. Anthony, Newton, Robinson and Cumberland all advanced to Sectionals for placing in the top 7 as a team
On the boys side of things Robinson won with a total of 36 points. St. Anthony, Cumberland, Teutopolis and Neoga all advanced to Sectionals for placing in the top 7 as a team.
High School Volleyball
- Windsor/Stew-Stras competed in the Mt. Pulaski Tournament going 3-2 in the tournament finishing in 2nd Place. The Hatchets picking up wins against Shelbyville 26-24 25-18, Illini Central 25-18 25-8 and Mt. Pulaski 25-18 25-22. Their loss were against St. Joseph Ogdin 23-25 25-22 9-15 and in the finals to Mt. Zion 29-31 25-23 10-15. W/SS is now 29-6 overall on the season.
Junior High Girls Basketball
- The Effingham Junior High 7th Grade Lady Mustangs defeated the Franklin Park Lady Bobcats 33-19. The Mustangs are now 8-1 on the season.
