Chicago, IL -(Effingham Radio)- After the 2016 hack, Illinois’ election managers are promising to keep voter data safe this time around.
Illinois State Board of Elections chairman William Cadigan yesterday said voters should have zero fear that their votes will be tampered with.
Cadigan and the State Board said new cyber security experts are constantly reviewing the state’s voter database, looking for irregularities.
He also said that the Illinois National Guard is on standby to help.
Russian hackers accessed information on about 90 thousand Illinois voters back in 2016.
